One of the classic ones, Duke Nukem 3D is an old first-person shooter coming back to Switch this month after the lawsuit of Gearbox, the publishers of Duke Nukem, and 3D Realms. The game, four years after its 20th anniversary is rereleasing to Nintendo Switch on the 23rd of June 2020. The game will come with a new additive level along with some already recorded dialogues which will be available on all platforms the game is on. The game developers are also launching a multiplayer mode for eight players. Nintendo Switch has been given some plus features as the game developers have highlighted some hints.

You will be able to play the game in a portable mode. This game release would include the option for better scopes on aiming. It is said to release gyroscopic aiming for the game for sure. The game also has integrated HD rumble. The game will receive a 50% discount on its launch on Nintendo Life, but it is priced at $10 on Eshop.

The story behind this lawsuit is related to the game’s music. And that’s the reason for Gearbox suing 3D Realms. As for details, Gearbox claims that 3D Realms did a violation of the deal because they didn’t get the free and clear Passover of the game as they promised to Gearbox. Bobby Prince, who is the game’s composer had owned some rights to the game’s soundtracks and when the Gearbox purchased Duke Nukem 3D, 3D Realms didn’t fully remove their copyrights and ownership from the game due to which Gearbox had to put the 2nd lawsuit to the situation.

The publishing company now demands damages fulfilled, legal fees, and the interest in the case to be paid whereas they released the game too. The trailer of the game has promised some new soundtracks on its way, who are being composed by Lee Jackson, who is also another composer and has worked with the title.

Duke Nukem has managed to appear on Switch for the second time, firstly as a guest appearance in Bulletstorm.
