Ouch! Was it another Lego that I just stepped on? Well, admit it, we’d rather walk on lava than have our soles pierced by a wild Lego piece that appears outa nowhere in the middle of the floor. However, similar things cannot be said about the Lego Star Wars games. As much as we love the ever-running series, TT Games has popped up with another mind-blowing news.

Last year, during E3 2019, TT Games announced an all-new title in the Lego Star Wars series, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Sega. The game is expected to come out later this year, the exact date, however, is still not known. As far as the platforms are concerned, we believe it will be available on all major platforms of the last decade, but still, fingers stay crossed until the actual release of the game.

Since the announcement of the game last year, things have stayed quiet from the side of the developers. This was true until the very recent release of a teaser poster that gives a slight hint of what the game would look like. We have tried connecting the dots between the information revealed during E3 2019, and the recent poster to give you an idea of what the hype is all about. Here is all that we know of the game yet!

It’s Bigger and it’s Violent!

The usual image that a Lego game protrudes in one’s imagination is a non-violent, cute game set in some La La Land. Some previous Lego games could fall into this category to some extent, but certainly not this one. The battlegrounds of the game have been enhanced considerably. You have been given new combos, and enemies are mightier than ever. The days of pressing the same button over and over again to land the same punch at the enemy are long gone. The enemies have also been blessed with a health bar that is present above their heads to remind you that it’s not as easy to take them down as you may have anticipated it to be. The self-locking feature has been eliminated for this title and it will come down to your own skill regarding free aiming.

Other than that, wouldn’t it be a shame if the developers came out with a game with linear gameplay in this era of open-world games? Well, TT Games have kept that under check, and you will not only be playing in a whole universe, instead there will also be different planets to discover and battleship wars to win with the enemies you encounter in the open space.

It was confirmed by the representatives that the game will feature all of the nine films and not just this, you will be able to play the game chapter wise, and each of these chapters will come loaded with five most challenging missions. The missions and the story of the game will follow their own new path and nothing seems to have carried over from the previous titles. You can begin and complete any chapter of your choice without any sequence. It was told that the new game is being developed on a newer powerful engine, and out of the gameplay titbits that we got to see, it shows. The game is a graphical marvel and every single Lego in the game is made visible. The stars are shinier, and the sand dunes are smoother, I hope similar things can be said about the gameplay when the game actually comes out.

The game was announced before the release of the 9th episode, and yet the developers claimed that the game will have all 9 episodes. It was then later confirmed by their representative that they are on good terms with Lucasfilm and everything in the game will be as original as it could get. The game will be the truest tribute to the Star Wars movies. In a recent tweet by the official account of Lego Star Wars game, a day ago, it was again confirmed that the game will include all 9 films from the Sega. Brace yourselves! The game is nothing like you have ever seen before.

The Recent Teaser

Coming on towards the newest release by the developers, the poster which shows all possible characters that are going to make it to the game. The total count adds up to almost 500 characters. It still remains uncertain as to how many characters could be controlled by you, but I believe the developers are not going to disappoint the fans in a game they are putting in so much effort for! The first thing that you notice in the poster is that every character is holding a lightsaber. Maybe the developers are trying to emphasize the fact that the battles in the game are going to be ferocious ones. Different planets have also been confirmed via the poster, as we see a lot of different settings in the background, ranging from icy mountains to sandy dunes.

If there is something that has been carried over from the previous titles of the series, it has to be the co-op mode. Lego Star Wars: Skywalker Sega will come with a local co-op mode to make way for your living room adventures. We are still uncertain regarding the multiplayer co-op mode since nothing of the sort has been revealed by the developers yet.
