Producing a great film takes lots of time and effort. It takes an outstanding director and a skilled cast to pull off the most beautiful scenes and scenes that stay with the audience for hours. Michelle Yeoh is a perfect example of this. Whether you are a fan of her acting or not, she has earned the industry’s respect with many iconic roles. Here are some of the iconic roles that define Michelle Yeoh. In the film Yes, madam! Yeoh plays Inspector Ng, who teams up with Scotland Yard’s Inspector Carrie Morris to investigate the murder of a London Commercial Crimes Bureau agent. Ng does not rely too much on using powerful kicks to get the job done. The physical harm she inflicts on the bad guys will surely be worth the hospital bills. Described as the first film in the Girl with a Gun subgenre, the film was one of Yeoh’s first, for which she was nominated for Best New Performer at the 1986 Hong Kong Film Awards.

In the 18th James Bond film, Tomorrow Never Dies, Yeoh plays Wai Lin, a Chinese State Security Agency agent who teams up with Bond to stop media power nerd Elliot Carver from engineering world events to the outbreak of World War III. Michelle Yeoh kicks the bad guys a lot, and although there is quite a bit of action, it all feels too safe. Not only was this the first time a Chinese Bond girl appeared in a Bond film, but Brosnan was reportedly impressed, calling Yeoh an actress to watch.

In Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Yeoh played Ying Nan, the kung fu goddess who is the revered leader and gatekeeper of the mysterious city of Ta Lo, accessible only through a portal on the other side of an enchanted bamboo forest. Her fellow cast member Simu Liu, who portrays her title character, praised her as an elegant and graceful martial artist, adding that she exudes incredibly positive energy and lights up any room she is in. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings grossed over 432 million USD worldwide, becoming the 9th highest-grossing film of 2021. Yeoh was nominated for the 2022 Critics’ Choice Super Award for Best Actress in a Superhero Movie.
