Taika Waititi and Rita Ora get married! Following speculations and claims that the pair had married, it has been verified that the actor/director of Thor: Love and Thunder, 46, and the singer, 31, wedded in a “very small” ceremony. Waititi was seen wearing what seemed to be a wedding band in recent social media photos. After being linked for the first time in April 2021 when Ora uploaded a picture of her and Waititi cuddling, the couple made their romance public last year. “Good times, memories, strange stuff on my phone and the ones I love,” she captioned the post.
Later, at the Los Angeles premiere of The Suicide Squad in August 2021, the couple made their red carpet debut together. Waititi and Ora made a joint appearance at the 2021 Met Gala in September. Waititi, who also directed and performed in the 2019 movie Jojo Rabbit, took up the Best Adapted Screenplay Oscar. In addition to acting in movies like Free Guy, Lightyear, and Disney+’s The Mandalorian, he has directed films like Hunt for the Wilderpeople and What We Do in the Shadows. After seven years of marriage, he and his ex-wife Chelsea Winstanley decided to call it quits in 2018.
He and Winstanley are parents to two girls, Matewa Kiritapu, age six, and Te Kinga o te Hinekhu, age ten. Ora, a British singer-songwriter who has appeared in films including the Fifty Shades of Grey series, just released the tune “Finish Line.” She co-stars in the forthcoming action film Tin Soldier alongside Jamie Foxx, and she provides the voice of Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight for the new animated series. Rita Ora prefers to keep her love life private, hence the surprising announcement of her marrying Taika Waititi. However, Hollywood fans are delighted with the newly-wed couple.
